An old Simpsons joke :D

Is that Erik Larsen? I like the rendering on the closeup of Dragon. It's better than what I'm accustomed to seeing from him.

Also, did you pick up "The Amazing Spider-Man: the Short Halloween?" It's pretty good; story and humor are okay, but the art from Kevin Maguire is absolutely stellar. My first Spider-Man comic in something like six months. I'll definitely pick up the landmark 600th issue, and am still waiting for the softcover of "New Ways to Die." Hardcovers feel like rip-offs.

didn't realize it was recycled material. savage dragon seems to get good reviews though. didn't think they'd plagiarize. i dunno who the artist is. i don't really collect savage dragon. i just found it in the intarnets! =)
i haven't been to the comicbook store this week, but i have "the ASM: the short halloween" reserved. i actually reserved it for the writers and didn't note who the artist was. it's written by bill hader and seth meyers - a couple of snl members. btw, ASM has actually been pretty good even after the OMD fiasco. you should also check out Thor, The Invincible Iron Man and The Punisher (among others).

Thor and Invincible Iron Man also look quite promising. The first arcs of both Thor and IIM are already out on trade so when finances allow maybe I'll pick them up. Picking up lengthy storyarcs in single-issue form doesn't make sense to me anymore; Joe Quesada has defeated me.

Oh, and it wasn't pure plagiarism; the line from the Simpsons was "Amanda Hugginkiss":D
