the goonies
not far from portland, you can go to cannon beach and astoria, where "the goonies" was set.
haystack rock.
at the beginning of the movie the fratellis lose the cops by joining a race
i think this is the pizza joint (now bowling alley) where chunk watched the police chase
the jail where momma breaks out jake fratelli
on the opposite side of the street is the museum where the dad's a curator
the goonies house?
when i asked the locals, they didn't recognize the name goon docks (ergo goonies) but i believe it is actually the east mooring basin, a few meters in front of mikey and brand's house
the bridge from "short circuit"

Hehehe...80s movies...really brings back memories.
Anyone ever wonder what happened to Police Academy staple Steve Guttenburg? Or his Indian sidekick in Short Circuit played by Fisher Stevens, or even (gasp) Molly Ringwald? All these 80s icons have kind of just slipped into obscurity, though a couple of years ago Mr. T appeared at the Taurus awards, and to his credit still looked pretty good ;)
It's really something; Josh Brolin, one of the stars of Goonies, has graduated from this light-hearted movie to such dead-serious fare as No Country for Old Men. He's even rumored to play the next incarnation of the Terminator. That'd make sense; they shouldn't try to do an Arnold like-character with anyone else.
